Jet Engine Test Cell Lift Platform
This picture tells the story of:
A Jet Engine Test Cell Lift Platform designed to position personnel, components and test equipment to elevated work and assembly areas in a turbine testing facility of a major manufacturer of jet engines was engineered and built by Pentalift. The platform features a double scissor lift designed in four separate sections and is capable of elevations to 18'. The internal structure of the new lift platform, as well as the placement of its individual scissor assemblies, provides a stable work surface at any elevation. Powered by a 60 horsepower pumping unit, the lift platform measures 26' X 40' and features removable aluminum safety rails for easy access to the platform. The lift table also features exclusive PentaFlow Hydraulic Cylinders, designed to ensure long cylinder life and reduce maintenance. The PentaFlow cylinder is completely sealed and all components are continuously lubricated with fresh oil, eliminating contamination and deterioration of the cylinder as well as high-stress build-up in the cylinder, equipment structure and hydraulic system. The platform was also required to follow a sequence of movements during the testing program to measure numerous operation parameters surrounding the engine.
